Brief info

Balaji Rangachari has over 25 years of experience of building businesses and brands. He has a B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras and a PGDM from IIM Calcutta. At Mahindra Finance (India’s leading rural NBFC with an AUM of $12 billion), he set up and built the SME lending business as its CEO (AUM of $ 700 million), and also headed the strategy and marketing functions. Subsequently, he moved to head the M&A function and lead investments in Fintech. Some of the key initiatives spearheaded by him include entry into asset management, forging JVs both in India and abroad, etc. He was also a Board Director in some of the subsidiary and investment companies. Prior to moving to Mahindra Finance, he spent over three years at the Corporate Centre of the Mahindra Group (A $ 20 billion Indian MNC) and was a founding member of the Group Strategy Office. Before joining the Mahindra Group in early 2005, he spent close to 9 years in sales and marketing in the FMCG industry across ITC Agrotech and Nestle.
