Dr. Aravind S. Bharadwaj has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a MBA from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has nearly three decades of executive leadership experience in the Automotive Industry across diverse product segments responsible for conceptualizing innovative technology solutions, design and development of products and services at a new price performance point leading to deployment and market launch in several vehicle platforms. A Fellow of SAE International and a senior member of IEEE, he has authored several papers in prestigious journals and has numerous patents to his credit.
He was the CTO of both the Automotive and Farm Division of Mahindra & Mahindra the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume), and was instrumental in developing the world’s first autonomous tractor. Previously, he was the CEO of Automotive Infotronics, a JV between Ashok Leyland (India’s 2nd largest CV company) and Continental AG. He was also an Executive Director with Ashok Leyland and an advisor to the TVS Group. He started his career with General Motors Research Labs in the US.
